WV Route 9 Bike Path

WV Route 9 Bike Path

The WV Route 9 Bike Path follows the busy thoroughfare from Ranson to Martinsburg.  This 10.5 mile paved multi-use trail is suitable for families with small children and strollers, dog walkers, walkers, and bikers.  Though an urban trail, the Route 9 Bike Path also hugs working farms, woodlands, a historic orchard area, and stops along the way highlight points of interest.

Note that the path runs through open space with little to no shade. While the Ranson portion of the trail is fairly flat, the Berkeley County half is somewhat hilly.
